Problème
Problème :
Sur certains véhicules, si le palier avant de l'alternateur tombait en panne, les courroies de l'alternateur pourraient continuer à faire tourner l'alternateur. Cela pourrait entraîner une surchauffe du palier de l'alternateur.
Risques pour la sécurité :
Une surchauffe du palier de l'alternateur pourrait entraîner un risque d'incendie.
Mesures correctives :
Prévost doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule à un centre de service Prévost pour faire remplacer les courroies de l'alternateur. Pour diminuer les risques pour la sécurité, Prévost recommande d'inspecter régulièrement le palier avant de l'alternateur, et de ne pas faire fonctionner le moteur si l'alternateur est défectueux.
