This recall involves the Rock Solo Karaoke Microphone & Speaker. The recalled products were sold in black and rose gold colours, and come with a USB-Micro USB charging cable and Micro USB - Auxiliary cable. The brand name Rock Solo Tzumi can be found on the microphone.

Hazard identified
The recalled product can overheat which could result in smoking, burning, melting and possible explosion of the product. This poses burn and injury hazards or possible property damage.
As of January 29, 2018, Wal-Mart Canada Corp. has received three reported incidents in Canada. One reported incident of the product exploding and causing property damage and two reported incidents of the product overheating and melting. Wal-Mart Canada Corp. has not received any reports of injuries related to the use of these products in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 70,000 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from November 2017 to January 2018.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and return the product along with any available product packaging to their nearest Walmart Canada store for a full refund.

Additionally, consumers may contact Tzumi® consumer support by telephone at 1-646-351-1960, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm EST, and Friday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm EST, or by email. Consumers can also visit the Tzumi® support website.
