Issue
In the event that the appliance is improperly connected, a failure of the power board could cause a short circuit resulting in a fire hazard.
Update on incidents reported:
As of May 16, 2024, the company has received 1 report of a fire causing damage to the immediate surroundings of the boiler and 4 reports indicating no damage. No injuries have been reported to the company.
What you should do
Update: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact their installer. The installer must remove the material safety data sheet from the older model, take a photo of the material safety data sheet and send it to Les Industries Dettson Inc., by e-mail at techs@dettson.ca. The installer must contact Les Industries Dettson Inc., Technical Support, and provide the consumer's full name and address.
Based on a normal lifespan of 20 years, compensation will be allocated directly to the consumer depending on the age of the product (based on the date of installation).
