Ottawa, August 25, 2011 - The public warning issued on August 24, 2011 has been expanded to include additional product codes.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with sensitivities to gluten not to consume the Indianlife brand Plain Papadums described below. The affected product contains gluten which is not declared on the label.

The affected product, Indianlife brand Plain Papadums, is sold in 120 g packages (12 papadums) bearing UPC 7 77762 00150 6 and code "Mfg: 10249" or "Mfg: 11027".

This product has been distributed in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.

There has been one reported illness associated with the consumption of this product.

Consumption of this product may cause a serious reaction in persons with sensitivities to gluten.

The importer, Indianlife Food Corporation, Burnaby, BC, is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
