Issue
On one bus, there is an error in the vehicle identification number (VIN). The 9th digit of the VIN was incorrectly listed as "L", instead of "3". As a result, the bus cannot be properly identified using the VIN. Canadian regulations provide a format the VIN number that must be followed.
Safety risk
This error could cause confusion when trying to identify the bus using the VIN.
Corrective actions
Temsa will notify the owner by mail and provide them with a replacement VIN plate and compliance label along with instructions for installing them.
