Issue: On a small number of buses equipped with a Ricon BayLift wheelchair lift, the outer barrier of the lift may not be strong enough. As a result, when the lift is fully deployed, the barrier may not support an occupant if their mobility device or wheelchair moves against it. Safety Risk: A wheelchair lift barrier that is not strong enough could create the risk of an injury. Corrective Actions: Volvo Buses will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your bus to a Prevost service center to add a side barrier support feature to affected wheelchair lifts.
