Issue

Issue: On a certain trucks, the steering kingpin nut may not have been properly installed and tightened. As a result, the steering knuckle could separate from the axle. If this happens, there would be a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the kingpin nuts to ensure they are installed and properly tightened.
