Issue:
On certain low-profile trucks equipped with air brakes, the software for the antilock brake system (ABS) may have been programmed incorrectly. As a result, the ABS system could turn off while driving. If this happens, a warning light will turn on in the instrument cluster.
Safety Risk:
A loss of ABS function could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Hino Motors Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the ABS-ECU software.
