Issue

On certain vehicles, the front axle beams could crack. Over time, these cracks could extend the length of the axle beam, creating the potential for an axle beam failure. If the front axle beam were to fail, it could result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Owners will be advised to inspect the axle beams and report any defects found. Vehicles with axle beams found with minor cracking will be subjected to weekly inspections until a replacement beam is available. Vehicles with axle beams found with cracks that exceed the inspection criteria (as specified by the axle manufacturer) will be removed from the road until the beam can be replaced.
