Affected products

This recall involves Sticky Spot tar & glue cleaner UPC 776028716031 and sold in the 500 mL format.

Issue

Health Canada's sampling and assessment program has determined that this product does not meet the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 (CCCR, 2001) in Canada. Specifically, testing showed that the product was "very flammable". The manufacture, import, advertisement or sale of a highly flammable product is prohibited under the CCCR, 2001. Additionally, the product's label doesn't display the required toxicity labelling.

The highly flammable nature of the product could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness, injury or death.

As of November 27, 2023 the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact an authorized Specialized retailer for a full refund.
