Mastercraft units also have date code stickers on the packaging box and on the product in DDMMYY format – all those ending in “20” and “21” are affected.

Issue

The affected units could overheat, potentially posing a burn and fire hazard.

As of April 17, 2023, the companies have received 17 reports of incidents in Canada and no report of injuries.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Thermosphere and Mastercraft Ceiling Mounted 7500W/240V Electric Utility Workshop/Garage Heater with Remote Control & Thermostat and return them to the place of purchase for an exchange or refund.
