Product description
This recall involves "Parachute" hammocks sold in single and double versions, and packaged in a nylon sack. The Grand Trunk logo is printed on the sack.
The following models and colors are included in the recall; the model number can be located on the product's hang tag:
- SH-01: Single Parachute Nylon Hammock - Olive/Khaki
- DH-01: Double Parachute Nylon Hammock - Olive/Khaki
- DH-03: Double Parachute Nylon Hammock - Navy/Silver
Hazard identified
The hammock's supporting hooks can fail, posing a risk to occupants who may fall and suffer injuries.
The manufacturer, Travel Hammock Inc., has received reports of nine incidents of hooks failing, resulting in bumps, bruises and/or scrapes.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related the use of these products.

Approximately 107 of the recalled products were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from July 2008 to September 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in Indonesia.
