Product description

This recall involves the PureEasy Shower Filter. The filter has a white cylindrical plastic housing that contains activated carbon and mineral filtration media designed to reduce chlorine while adding trace amounts of calcium and magnesium.

The product has UPC #708574002115 with lot #00003‑20.

Hazard identified

The housing can unexpectedly separate releasing the mineral contents into the eyes.

As of August 21, 2018, the company has received 3 reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

Approximately 4773 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled product was sold between January 2018 and June 2018.
