Product description
This recall involves Coleman, Coleman Evcon and Red T brand furnaces which are silver in color with white access panels.
Recalled product can be identified by the brand name located in the middle of the front access panel in addition to one of the below model numbers listed on the nameplate.

Hazard identified
The furnaces can overheat causing the heat exchanger to crack, burn-through and in extreme cases cause furnace wrapper burn-through. This can lead to heating and possible burning of the drywall and other combustibles adjacent to the furnace, which poses a risk of significant property damage, personal injury or death.
As of August 3, 2018, the company has received 8 reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 394 reports of incidents, and no reports of injuries.

Approximately 2,373 recalled furnaces were sold in Canada; approximately 223,627 units of the recalled furnaces were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled furnaces were sold from 1995 to November 2000.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the heating functions on these furnaces until they have been inspected and if necessary, replaced. If any furnace is found to be involved in the recall, an incentive of One Hundred US Dollars ($100.00) will be given for the replacement of the furnace.
