LumaRail Bed Rails recalled due to Entrapment and Asphyxiation Hazard

Immediately stop using the recalled LumaRail Bed Rails and contact Platinum Health for a free repair kit.
Affected products
This recall involves the LumaRail Bed Rails with Legs (model PHB4000) and the Doublesafe Bed Assist Rail (model PHB7000D). The bed rails are made of white metal tubing with a gray or black form rubber grip handle and may have a black fabric pouch. The name “Platinum Health” is printed on the label located on the leg of the bed rail or on the grip of the handle. The bed rails also have a light mount below the grip handle.
Issue
Users of the recalled LumaRail Bed Rails can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, when attached to an adult's bed. The LumaRail Bed Rails pose an entrapment and asphyxiation hazard.
As of March 28, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
