Product description

This recall involves IKEA CALYPSO ceiling lamps. The CALYPSO ceiling lamp is a round 3 bulb ceiling lamp with glass shade. The article number associated with the CALYPSO ceiling lamp is 000.324.16 and only product with date stamps 1625 to 1744 are affected. The date stamp is located on the label affixed to the ceiling lamp.

Hazard identified

The glass shade affixed to the ceiling lamp fixture may fall, posing an injury hazard to consumers.

As of September 26, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 7,285 units of the product were sold in Canada (which includes both affected and non-affected date stamps).

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from August 2016 to September 2018.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the CALYPSO ceiling lamps and return it to an IKEA store for a replacement or full refund.
