"Feather Witch" Halloween Costume
Product description
The "Feather Witch" is a children's Halloween costume that comes with a dress, hat and belt. The costume has black feathers around the hat, wrists and neck of the dress. The costume also has a light see-through black mesh for the arms.
The recall has been expanded to include all 3 sizes (small, medium, large). The UPC for each size is as follows:
- Small UPC: 023168087607
- Medium UPC: 02368187604
- Large UPC: 023168287601.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and testing program revealed that the feathers on the Halloween costumes do not meet the requirements for textile flammability under Canadian law.
This costume could easily catch on fire and cause serious burns to consumers if exposed to a flame or other heat source such as candles, matches or lighters.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incident or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these costumes.

Number sold
Approximately 415 units of the recalled "Feather Witch" Halloween Costumes were distributed at various retail and novelty stores in Ontario and Quebec.
Time period sold
The recalled "Feather Witch" Halloween Costumes were sold from January 2007 to September 2011.
