"Feather Witch" Halloween Costume
Product description
The "Feather Witch" costume comes with a dress, hat and belt. The costume has black feathers around the hat, wrists and neck of the dress. The costume also has a light, see through black mesh for the arms and is identified by UPC 023168187604 and RN 88490.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and testing program revealed that the feathers on the Halloween costumes do not meet the requirements for textile flammability under Canadian law.
The Halloween costumes could easily catch fire and cause serious burns to consumers if exposed to a flame or other heat sources such as candles, matches or lighters.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incident or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these costumes.
Number sold
Approximately 235 of the recalled "Feather Witch" Halloween costumes were distributed in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled Halloween costumes were sold from January 2007 to October 2008 at various retail and novelty stores in Ontario and Quebec.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
