Product description
This recall expansion involves the addition of Klenk's Paint Thinner. The previous recall involved Klenk's Sol-V, Klenk's Super Sol-V and Klenk's Mineral Spirits. The products are packaged in white plastic containers with MADE IN CANADA and POLYBOTTLE / PB symbol on the bottom, and a white plastic cap.

Hazard identified
The recalled products do not meet the child-resistant packaging requirements for consumer chemical products required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
The cap can be opened without having to engage the child-resistant mechanism. This could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness, injury or death.
As of March 20, 2019, the company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 5,466 units of Klenk's Paint Thinner, 3,372 units of Klenk's Sol-V, 7,356 units of Klenk's Super Sol-V and 4,895 units of Klenk's Mineral Spirits were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from June 2014 to March 2019.
