Product description
This voluntary recall involves a teapot in a dancing pose. The ceramic teapot affected has a 946 millilitres capacity, measures 19.7 centimetres wide by 25.5 centimetres high, and comes in six assorted colours (blue, yellow, green, orange, pink and black).
The product can be identified by SKU number ER19252 on a sticker at the base of the teapot and UPC Code 661371626062 by Ganz®.
A similar smaller size teapot (SKU number ER19251) is not affected by this recall.
Hazard identified
When the teapot is filled with hot liquid, its handle may become hot and pose a possible burn hazard to consumers.
Neither Health Canada nor Ganz has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of the teapot.
Number sold
Approximately 170 of the recalled teapots were sold in Canada.
Approximately 2,100 of the recalled teapots were distributed in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from December 2011 to January 2012 in Canada and the United States.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled teapot and contact Ganz Customer Service to obtain further instructions on how to return the product to the manufacturer for a full refund.
