Crinar Chairs recalled due to fall hazard
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled chairs and contact Crinar for instructions on how to have the base replaced, if necessary.
This recall applies to series 6500 or 8500 glider, swivel and recliner chairs with a round base delivered by Crinar to retailers between April 21, 2020, and December 22, 2020. Chairs with a metal base and a seat consisting of springs on which the seat cushions sit are affected by this recall. Chairs with a metal base and a seat consisting of metal slats on which the seat cushions sit are not covered by this recall.
There is a risk of breakage of the inclined metal tubes supporting the base of the chair, causing the chair to become unbalanced.
As of October 14, 2021, the company has received 1 report of a sudden breakage of inclined tubes forming the base of a consumer's chair and no cases of injuries.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact Crinar by telephone at (418) 834-4440 (local calls in the Quebec area) or 1-800-856-6318 (toll free) or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
Approximately 2017 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
