Product description
This recall involves Creative Nail Design (CND) UV lamps with model number 08200.
The UV lamp is an electrical nail curing device for professional salon use. The product is a white box with programmable control buttons at one end and an opening to place hands or feet at the other. The brand name "CND" is molded into the plastic top of the product. The model number can be found on the side of the product near the handle.
Hazard identified
The affected product has not been evaluated for safety against any Canadian standards and may pose safety hazards to users.
Neither Creative Nail Design Incorporated, the Electrical Safety Authority nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products in Canada.
Number sold
Approximately 4,723 units of the affected products were sold to various beauty product distributors and professional salons across Canada.
Time period sold
The affected products were sold from June 2010 to August 2011.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
