Hazard identified

Improper installation of the bike racks and/or installation on an incompatible vehicle can cause the racks to detach while in use, posing an injury hazard.

As of June 30, 2021, the company has received one report of a bike rack detaching in Canada and no reports of injuries.

Number sold

The company reported that 727 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The affected products were sold from April 2018 to May 2021.

What you should do

Customers should immediately stop using the product and go to a Decathlon store to confirm vehicle compatibility, to return the product for a refund, and/or to collect a new information booklet.
