Affected products

This recall involves BKIND Brightening Face Serum (48 ml) with lot numbers 15411 and 15412. The UPC code 840097001722 is located on the side of the packaging carton.

Issue

The recalled products may contain a common microorganism called Pseudomonas luteola. Pseudomonas luteola is an environmental organism found widely in soil and water. People with weakened immune systems, external medical devices, or underlying lung conditions who are exposed to the bacteria face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment. The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes or a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria.

As of June 5, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
