Product description

Xiadafil VIP Tabs is promoted as an "all natural" dietary supplement used for sexual enhancement and the treatment of erectile dysfunction. The product is packaged in bottles of 8 tablets (Lot #6K029) and in blister cards of 2 tablets (Lot #6K029-SEI).

Reason for warning

At the request of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. federal authorities seized all Xiadafil VIP Tabs sold in 8 tablet bottles (Lot #6K029) and blister cards of 2 tablets (Lot #6K029-SEI) because they were found to contain undeclared hydroxyhomosildenafil, a compound similar in structure to sildenafil. These lots of Xiadafil VIP Tabs have an expiration date of September 2009 (09/09).

Sildenafil is a prescription drug used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and should only be taken under the supervision of a health care professional.

Possible side effects

• Unsupervised use of sildenafil by patients with heart disease can result in serious cardiovascular side effects such as sudden cardiac death, heart attack, stroke, hypertension, chest pain and abnormal heartbeat.
• Additionally, use of sildenafil may be associated with other side effects including temporary vision loss, seizure, prolonged erection, headache, flushing, nasal congestion and abdominal pain.
• Sildenafil should not be used by individuals taking any type of nitrate drug (e.g, nitroglycerine) due to the risk of developing potentially life-threatening low blood pressure.
