Orca Lite Utility Lighter
Product description
This recall involves utility lighters by Orca Lite. The lighters have a flexible shaft, black, grey or blue plastic handles, and are refillable. The name "Orca Lite" is printed on the handle and "A12" is written on the bottom of the handle, by the refill valve.
The recalled lighters are sold individually with item number BK6533 or in blister packs with item number BL6533.
Hazard identified
Testing by Health Canada has revealed that the recalled utility lighters pose a burn risk to users because the flame can be too high.
In addition, the child-resistant mechanism may not function properly, posing a burn and fire hazard.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these utility lighters.

Number sold
Approximately 353,540 units of the recalled utility lighters were sold at Claire de Lune and other retail stores.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from March 2004 to November 2009.
