Product description

This recall involves 2 types of wooden educational toys sold through Kindermusik. Both toys have the date code "201005" on a tracking label attached to both the product and its packaging. Also, the batch ID "APO18829" can be found on the bottom of the product.

  • The Zoom Buggy Car has a wooden body with red and blue plastic wheels, and a red handle.
  • The Dream Pillow Star is a wooden star with a smaller yellow star attached to it. The star has red, blue and green plastic beads, and a red plastic handle.

Hazard identified

The wheels on the Zoom Buggy Car and the plastic beads on the Dream Pillow Star can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Kindermusik International Inc. has received 15 reports of wheels detaching from the Zoom Buggy Car, with no reported injuries. Kindermusik has not received any reports of incidents with the Dream Pillow Star.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these toys.

Number sold

Approximately 1,400 of the recalled products were sold in Canada, while approximately 7,300 were sold in the United States. These products were sold exclusively through Kindermusik Educators as part of Kindermusik At-Home Materials, at Kindermusik classes, or at kindermusik.com.

Time period sold

The recalled Zoom Buggy Cars were sold from July to October 2010, while the recalled Dream Pillow Stars were sold from August to October 2010.
