Reason for warning

The HSA issued a recall notice after this product was found to exceed their permissible limit for microbial contamination. The level exceeds Canadian limits for microbial contaminants as well, and may pose health risks. People who are particularly at risk include children, the elderly, and individuals with compromised immune systems.

Possible side effects

Side effects associated with the use of microbial-contaminated products intended for oral consumption include severe infection, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
