Product description

This recall involves a natural coloured wooden rattle sold under the brand name Hestia Global. The rattle has a circular head and a long handle; the full rattle measures approximately 8 cm in length. The rattle can be identified by item number 121 and product code Tftr-01.

Hazard identified

Health Canada has established that the long handle of the rattle can pose an impaction and choking hazard to young children.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these rattles.

Number sold

Approximately 32 of the recalled products were sold in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from January 2008 to February 2009.
