Product description
This recall involves Wagner Control Spray Plus, which is an electrically-powered paint application tool. The tool is grey and yellow, and can be identified by model number 0414248 and date codes Y182R through Y365R or Z001R through Z366R, or A001R through A021R. The model number can be found on a label on the product and the date code can be found on the bottom of the motor housing.
Hazard identified
The on/off switch may become dislodged from the case if the motor housing is dropped. The electrical connections can become exposed and, if the product is plugged into an electrical outlet, pose a risk of electrical shock.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 197 units of the recalled product were distributed in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were distributed from August 2007 to April 2009.
