Product description
This recall involves Vornadobaby Sunny CS (Cribside Sensor) Nursery Heater with model number EH1-0090 manufactured in 2017.
UPC 043765009147 is found on the bottom panel of the retail box
The model number and serial number appear on a label under the cord wrap cover on the bottom of the heater. The serial number format is MMMYY-NNNNNN. It is composed of three letters for the month (MMM), two digits for the year of manufacture (YY), and a unique six digit sequence (NNNNNN). The recalled heaters MMM will be either AUG or SEP and the YY 17.
Hazard identified
The heat element may come in contact with inner plastic material, posing a fire or burn hazard.
As of January 18, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents or injury in Canada. In the United States, the company has received five reports of the units catching on fire within moments of first usage. There have been no injuries reported.
Number sold
Approximately 102 units of the affected products were sold in Canada through Amazon.ca, and approximately 3,900 units were sold in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from October 2017 to December 2017.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact their municipality for instructions on how to dispose of or recycle the recalled electrical product.
For more information and to obtain a refund, consumers can contact Vornado by telephone toll-free at 1-844-205-7978 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST Monday through Friday or visit the company's website to complete the recall steps. Vornado will request a photograph of the serial number located on a label under the cord wrap cover on the bottom of the heater.
Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website.
