Affected products

This recall involves VIVIDVIBEBEARPAS playyard mattresses.

The mattresses are white and comes with six different prints: Big Tree, Love, Goat, Flower, Cute Grove, and Cute Dinosaur. The Cute Grove as pictured has a diagonal quilted surface and graphics of green and yellow trees, houses and foxes printed on them. The mattresses measure about 96.5 cm (38 inches) long by 66 cm (26 inches) wide by 7.6 cm (3 inches) high and have a dark blue tag hanging off the mattress with a picture of a cartoon teddy bear. The mattresses fold in half and have a large crease going down the length of the mattress in the middle where it folds. The mattresses are designed to fit Graco and Baby Trend playpens.

The mattresses were manufactured on or after May 2023 and can be identified by model number YXB17.

Issue

The mattress thickness exceeds the 38 mm (1.5 inch) requirement of the Playpens Regulations and can pose a suffocation hazard to the user.

As of December 11, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mattresses, cut them in half destroying them so they cannot be used and dispose of them in regular household garbage.
