Affected products

This recall involves roller blinds equipped with a chain guard and a transparent casting wall attachment and blinds with concealed chain control with base caps aimed at the ends.

The products are available in decorative canvas or alternating sheer elegance canvas, and offered in several colours and patterns.

Issue

Health Canada has determined that the recalled blinds do not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a strangulation hazard. Young children may pull looped cords around their neck, or become entangled in the cords, causing a strangulation hazard and even death.  In addition, the products can also release small parts that present a choking hazard to young children.

Children can become entangled in blinds cords, which can quickly lead to strangulation and even death. Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings. For more information on the hazard, see Blind Cord Safety.

As of December 22, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
