Hazard identified

Health Canada's auditing process has revealed that the recalled products are corrosive and do not meet the warning labelling and child-resistant closure requirements for this type of consumer chemical, as per Canadian law.

The lack of child-resistance and appropriate warnings on the label could result in unintentional exposure to these products and lead to serious illness or injury.

Neither Hydrotek nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or illnesses related to the use of these products.

Number sold

Approximately 9,049 of the recalled products were sold in the last 2 years at various retailers in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba.

Time period sold

The recalled products are known to have been distributed and sold since 1998.
