Various Blinds by Persienne Design
Consumer products - Strangulation hazard
What to do

Immediately stop using the recalled product and make an appointment with Persienne Design for repairs.

Affected products

This recall involves all Persienne Design 2'' wood blinds, 2'' PVC blinds and honeycomb blinds for residential use during the period from September 2023 to December 2023. All products are available in a wide range of custom colours and sizes.

Health Canada has determined that the recalled blinds do not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a strangulation hazard. Young children may pull looped cords around their neck, or become entangled in the cords, causing a strangulation hazard and even death.

Children can become entangled in blinds cords, which can quickly lead to strangulation and even death. Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings. For more information on the hazard, see Blind Cord Safety.

As of January 8, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

What you should do
