Product description
This recall involves the following 3 pieces of jewellery sold under the "Urban Pop" brand:
- The necklace is a black corded necklace with a metallic ring pendant, and can be identified by Item #NOJ60098-1 and UPC code 068589600981.
- The leather bracelet is a brown leather bracelet with a metallic pendant, and can be identified by Item #NOJ60103-2 and UPC code 068589601032.
- The bracelet has a black band with a decorative metal rectangle and metallic closure, and can be identified by Item #NOJ60104-9 and UPC code 068589601049.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has revealed that these pieces of jewellery contain lead in excess of the allowable limit. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Health Canada has not received reports of any incidents or illnesses related to the use of these products.

Number sold
Approximately 1,458 ring necklaces; 4,032 leather bracelets; and 1,416 metal bracelets were sold at various dollar and discount stores across Canada.
