Ottawa, April 5, 2012 - The public warning issued on March 30, 2012 has been expanded to include additional product information.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Canadian Natural & Specialty Brands are warning people with allergies to milk not to consume the Sunstart Brand cookies described below. The affected product contains milk which is not declared on the label.
All codes of the following Sunstart brand cookies, sold in 198 g packages, are affected by this alert:

These products have been distributed nationally.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk.
Canadian Natural & Specialty Brands, Gormley, ON, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
