Advisory details
Ottawa, January 20, 2012 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Solly's are warning people with allergies to milk or soy or sensitivity to sulphites not to consume the baked goods described below. The affected products may contain allergens which are not declared on the label.
The following Kettleman Bagel Co. brand products, where milk and/or soy and/or sulphites are not declared on the label, are affected by this alert:

These products have been distributed in Ottawa, Ontario.
The ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation (MAPAQ) transmitted an alert to the news media on January 19, 2012 concerning affected Solly's brand products distributed in Quebec. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk or soy or sensitivity to sulphites.
The manufacturer, Solly's, Montreal, QC is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
