Product description
This recall involves the Garlic Duo, which is a combination garlic press/slicer by Trudeau. The recalled products have model numbers 998009, 998010, or 0518010, which can be found printed on the product's packing card, hang tag, or UPC label (but not on the product itself). The products have the word "Trudeau" embossed on the handle.
Hazard identified
The Garlic Duo's slicer blades can break, posing a laceration hazard to users.
Trudeau Corporation has received 4 reports of a blade breaking and falling off, with no reported injuries.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 11,300 of the recalled products were sold across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from July 2008 to July 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
