Triathlon E-118 bicycle by Argon 18

Product description

This recall involves the handlebars on Argon 18's 2012 E-118 bicycle.

Hazard identified

The problem stems from improper quality control of the tolerances of cosmetic spacer places used in the reversible stem spacer. These units may be slightly larger than the spacer and prevent proper contact between the handlebar and the spacer. The lack of friction may cause handlebar slippage, which could lead to loss of control of the bicycle and a risk of falling.

An incident was reported to Argon 18 involving a fallen cyclist in Australia.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to this product.

Number sold

12 units of the recalled bicycles were sold in Canada.
