Product description
This recall involves all SKUs of Trek Kickster Balance Bicycles with model years 2013 to 2019. The bicycles are made of aluminum with handlebars, two wheels and no pedals and come in various colours.
Hazard identified
The steer tube clamp may break, which may result in the handlebars coming off, presenting a potential fall hazard.
As of July 22, 2019, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. Globally, Trek Bicycle Corporation has received 11 reports of broken clamps. In the United States, the company has received 8 reports of broken steer tube clamps, and 1 report of scratching and bruising.

Approximately 1,824 units of the affected product were sold in Canada and approximately 11,555 units were sold in the United States.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact a Trek retailer for a free replacement of both the steer tube and seat tube clamps.
