Issue
Issue:
On certain vehicles, the electrical connector for the backup alarm could loosen and disconnect. As a result, the vehicle may not make a reverse warning sound when backing up.
Note: This recall only affects certain incomplete vehicles.
Safety Risk:
A backup alarm that doesn't work correctly could create confusion and increase the risk of injury for other road users.
Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the exterior sounder connector on the frame wiring harness.
