Issue:
On one truck, the wrong brake chambers may have been installed during service. As a result, the brakes may not work properly and could overheat. This could also cause a tire failure.
Safety Risk:
Overheated brakes could create the risk of a fire. A tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Mack will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the brake chambers.
