On certain vehicles, the upper steering shaft could separate and cause a loss of steering control.
Safety Risk:
A loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and replace or repair the upper steering shaft, as necessary.
