Issue
Issue:
On certain school buses, brake fluid may be present in the brake pressure switch and wire harness. As a result, the brake switch could short circuit.
Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 23518 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-322). Certain school buses repaired under that recall require a second repair.
Safety Risk:
A short circuit can cause wiring to overheat and create the risk of a fire, even while the school bus is parked and turned off.
Corrective Actions:
To reduce the safety risk, International Motors advises that you should park your school bus outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to an authorized service facility to replace the brake pressure switch and wire harness.
