Issue

On certain vehicles, the fasteners that connect the ball joints to the front control arms may be missing or may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the ball joints could separate from the control arms. If this happens, there could be a loss of control.

Safety risk

A loss of control could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective actions

GEM will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, as necessary, tighten the fasteners or replace the ball joints.
