Issue
On certain vehicles, the left-rear door may be opened from the inside when the child safety lock is in the ''ON'' position. Note: This recall only affects 4-door models.
Safety risk
A child safety lock that doesn't work correctly could allow a door to be opened from inside the vehicle and could increase the risk of injury.
Corrective actions
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the left-rear door latch.
