Issue
On certain electric kickscooters, a part within the front fork may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the fork stem could fail. If this happens, there could be a loss of control and/or you could fall from the scooter. Note: This recall affects certain scooters marked with the manufacturing date code 2308, 2310 or 2311.
Safety risk
A loss of control could create the risk of injury and/or a crash.
Corrective actions
Segway advises not to ride your scooter until the recall repairs have been completed. Segway will notify registered owners by email and advise you to take your scooter to a dealership to repair the front fork. Alternatively, Segway will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label, for you to ship your scooter to a service center for repair.
