Issue
On certain RV trailers, the power wire to the 12 V distribution box may not have proper circuit protection. As a result, the wire could overheat and melt.
Safety risk
Wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire.
Corrective actions
To reduce the safety risk, Keystone advises not to use the slide-out function until the recall repairs have been completed. None of the affected trailers have been delivered to customers. Keystone will instruct dealers to rewire the 12 V distribution box power wire before the trailers are delivered.
