Transport Canada Recall - 2025103 - FORD
Brand(s)
Summary
Affected products
2022 | FORD | MAVERICK
Issue
On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 22C24 (Transport Canada recall no. 2022-562) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, a programming error in the control module for the antilock braking system (ABS) could cause the brake lamps to turn on or stay on when the driver is not braking. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 2.0 L EcoBoost engine and towing package.
Safety risk
Brake lamps that turn on or stay on when the vehicle is not braking could cause confusion for other drivers and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the ABS control module software.
